Whether you are married with children or single and loving it there is so much to do around the county this weekend. The weather has warmed up (70 and 80’s all weekend), so enjoying the great outdoors is an option. Tonight my family is going to attend the Fishers Arbor Day Festival from 4 pm – 8 pm. Tomorrow we will play at Coxhall Gardens in Carmel and go to dinner at the Hamilton Restaurant on Noblesville Square.

However, I have spoken to my “fun-without-children” friends and they are going on the Dinner in the Diner train ride where they will get to enjoy a 4 course gourmet meal while dining aboard the 1930’s Louisville & Nashville car as it rolls through the countryside. I am sure they will also enjoy a little wine with their Parmesan crusted chicken breasts… YUM.

The weather this past Saturday was amazing – high 60’s and sunny with enough of a breeze to feel great.  A day like that can not be wasted, so my husband and I packed up our 1 year old son and drove over to Forest Park in Noblesville.   We spent several hours walking the tree-lined paths; we strolled by Forest Park Golf Course (Johnny has vowed to go back and play), stopped for a break at one of the many playgrounds and at one point realized we had joined in with a bird watchers group.  One of the nice “park-going” parents recommended that we stop by the Indiana Transportation Museum for a tour of their historic trains – but Christopher was getting ready for a nap, so we had to go.

One of my favorite parts of Forest Park, the Carousel, was just beginning to spin when we pulled away – but we have all summer, so we WILL go back!
