Here is a picture of my little guy (Christopher) watching the 4th of July Parade roll by on Main Street in Carmel.  They had tons of bands and other musical acts in the parade and Chris happily danced & waved to those walking by.  Also, if you look closely you can see the Museum of Miniature Houses in the background of the photo!

A group of 27 of my friends went to CarmelFest on July 3 and a good time was had by all!  The place was packed; I would say that it was the largest crowd I have seen in all my years of attending.   Walked around and saw the different vendor booths and was pleasantly surprised to find they had Starbucks, MCL, McAlister’s and other new food vendors this year.  I even met up with one of the Hamilton County CVB Partners, Netheads, a vendor for the first time.

Lights Over Morse Lake, Cicero

1. Happy 175th Birthday Cicero!  Attend a 3-day birthday party for one of our 8 Great Towns  – Friday, July 3 – Sunday, July 5.

2. It is a busy weekend at Conner Prairie!  Start with Glorious Fourth, ride the 1859 Balloon Voyage, then stay for the Stars & Stripes Symphony on the Prairie (don’t miss the fireworks after dark!) – Friday, July 3 – Sunday, July 5.

3. Take the entire family to the July First Fridays event in historic downtown Noblesville.  The theme this month is “4th on the 3rd” – Friday, July 3.

4. Tour historic Boxley Cabin in Sheridan – Friday, July 3.

5. “Ooh” and “Aah” over spectacular fireworks during the annual CarmelFest celebration. – Friday, July 3 – Saturday, July 4. 

6. After celebrating Cicero’s birthday, stop at the Jackson Street Bridge and watch the fireworks light up the sky (and water!) during “Lights over Morse Lake.” – Saturday, July 4.

7. Close to Noblesville?  Don’t miss the 13th Annual Parade & Fireworks Festival – Saturday, July 4.

8. Dance away the afternoon with FREE live music at Seminary Park in Noblesville – Sunday, July 5.
